I come baring gifts!!! Feel free to share with all of your fall loving friends so that all may enjoy the splendor of God’s beauty that can only be seen in the fall.

“My name is David Price Robinson and I am a Fat Man on a Mission. That mission is to return to a condition of health. The picture above is a before/after from July 1, 2015 to July 1, 2016. You can see more of my story on my FB page .
I began the journey after a moment of truth and shocking clarity. At nearly 500#s, I realized that I either had to change, or die. I had too much to live for…my son was getting married in a year, my daughter (that’s her in the blue tank top to my left) was just beginning life and my wife is simply too awesome to leave behind.
I began my journey by walking in my backyard, above ground pool…the only way I could move at that point without extreme pain and effort. I built up my endurance and mobility in that pool and determined to enter my first 5K.
That was 1 year, 15 races, and about 130#s ago. I am not kidding myself, I still have a long way to go. But with hard work, determination and the continued support of my friends, family, and my Coach (the tall lady in the blue tank to my right) I will make it. For those wondering, I have used the combination of walking, good nutrition, a GREAT coach and support network, and Advocare products to get this far.
Now, here’s your part!
If you have ever watched a balloon deflate, you know how saggy and misshapen it becomes. Well, now, instead of a balloon, think belly. As my weight has dropped, so has my abdomen…creating what is known euphemistically as a “fat apron” or, medically, as a Pannus.
My pannus is now down to about mid-thigh. It’s basically just excess skin and tissue. So no amount of additional weight loss will help and I am past the age where my skin elasticity will pull it back into shape.
The problem is that I am once again experiencing difficulty moving freely as my gut serves as a barrier to moving my legs properly. Hygiene becomes an issue and my skin stays in various stages of breakdown with perpetual infections. Additionally, clothing is becoming a challenge.
I want to continue to lose weight; I want to continue walking and hopefully one day, run! I want to get back into backpacking and canoeing, day hiking, and generally being active. Mostly I want to be around for my family and one day to be able to actively play with my grandkids.
This is NOT a tummy-tuck or a cosmetic procedure, this is a needed surgery for the purposes of health, hygiene, and mobility.
There is a surgery to take care of this – a panniculectomy, but it is costly and my insurance refuses to cover it. I do work. But the money I earn providing services for the mentally and physically challenged in my community is minimal, at best. My wife and I simply cannot afford this surgery without you.
My goal is to raise 20-thousand dollars to cover the cost of surgery, recovery, and the time I will miss from work. That may take a while to raise, but that is okay, I still have more weight to lose before I am an ideal candidate for the procedure.
Please consider helping me with your donation of any size. If you help, I promise to #nevereverquit.
Sincerely, Fat Man on a Mission (David Price Robinson)”
The beauty of each season puts me in awe of the Lord but none like Fall. I love Autumn and everything about it. I love pumpkin flavored everything. I love the colors. I love the chill in the air and flannel shirts and leggings. I even love rainy Fall days. I also love making graphics like printables, Facebook and Instagram graphics, and desktop backgrounds. I also love sharing all of these things with anyone and everyone so here’s a little gift for all of my fellow Fall fanatics!!!
This free printable was inspired by one of my besties. I hope you find encouragement in it!!!
Always, always, always remember that you are beautiful and Jesus loves you.
Oh!!! Ladies!!! If there is anything I love it’s a monogram…especially if it’s affordable!!! I have discovered this little gem of a store so you know I must share it. This girl has EVERYTHING and her prices are UNREAL!!! I mean come on…a stainless steel tumbler ( Yeti, RTIC, Ozark…etc) decal for $5?!?!?!? SOLD!!! Why yes…I am in love with this chevron Power T with monogram pictured here and yes I will have one.
If you’ve been wanting one of these stainless steel tumblers but haven’t gotten one yet, you can also buy the cup and decal here for a mere $20. You can’t beat that with a stick!!!
Do yourself a favor and check this site out. You can thank me later.
Here’s a free desktop background just because I love y’all. I think I’m going to start doing more stuff like this. Enjoy!!!
Hey guys!! I made this really neat picture a few days ago to put in a frame so I thought I’d share it with you. My first free printable..I’m so excited!!!
I swore I would never do a political post but here I am. I have been sitting here thinking about socialism today. Y’all socialism may sound good on the surface but I can promise you, in the end, no one wins.
Now, I am very well aware that this is probably going to make someone mad and that’s ok but here the truth about socialism: nothing is free. Someone is paying for what you have. A person may think the government should fund things like utilities and healthcare but once we start having the government pay for these things, our freedom ultimately goes with it. See, as long everything is privatized and not socialized, us, Americans have a say in the matter. If we end up a socialized nation, we are under the government’s thumb. We will be told when we can use our electricity, how much we can use, what doctor we have to see, what treatments we are allowed to receive ( welcome to Obamacare), we will be told what we can eat and how much we are allowed to have…you name it. The government will be in charge…and that is what they want.
The next issue is equal distribution of wealth. This is a VERY short sighted solution to a very long term problem. Margaret Thatcher said it best when she said “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.” Y’all that is a hard truth but it is a truth none-the-less. The top 5% is under no obligation to keep busting their butts to prop everyone else up!!! I sometimes wonder where those that are a fan of socialism think the money to run this nation is going to come from once tax payers get fed up and stop working? Seriously. Socialism ultimately lead to the poverty of everyone except for the government.
I do want to go on record by saying that there is a HUGE difference between needing temporary assistance for a period of time or being genuinely disabled and expecting the government to bank roll your life. It honestly makes me sick at how some people will do anything to keep from EARNING a living!!! Y’all that is out and out wrong. We are supposed to take care of people who really can’t take care of themselves but not the pure out-and-out LAZY. Don’t believe me? Here’s what the bible says about it:
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 And to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.
2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and earn their own living.
Proverbs 10:4 A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
Proverbs 12:11 Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but whoever follows worthless pursuits lacks sense.
Proverbs 12:24 The hand of the diligent will rule while the slothful will be put to forced labor.
Proverbs 14:23 In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.
Those are just a few. Please understand the difference between people who WON’T work and people who CAN’T work. These scriptures apply to those who won’t bother to earn a living and MOST people in favor of socialism are those WHO DON’T WANT TO WORK!!!
So with that said, keep America a free nation and stop seeking after a free ride.
