Getting back on track

Getting back on track

I’m a mess. Have I ever told y’all that? Seriously, I am a mess!!!

There have been a few things happen recently that have shown me that I have gotten off track.

I started this blog for two reasons; To share my faith in Jesus and to encourage others through my fitness journey.

I have gotten so off track with all of it!!!

I am back on track though. I wouldn’t dare name any names without express permission, but recently some individuals that are very dear to me were having a discussion about needing to lose weight. I sat there and realized that they are why I started this journey to begin with!!! Well not them specifically but people like them. I want to help people overcome the obstacles blocking their pathway to health.

I am overweight.

I have been my whole life.

I know that with God’s strength and grace I can overcome it though. I want to show people that it isn’t impossible to achieve optimal health through exercise, nutrition, and supplements. Most of all though, I want to be all the things…coach, teammate, and cheerleader!!!

I want to be an encourager.

The scripture that has convicted me for so long is this:

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body”

1 Corinthians 6: 19-20

I keep thinking about that price.

I was expensive. Yeah. Me. I was expensive. Jesus bought and paid for this temple on the cross with his shed blood and I dump junk in it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!!! I haven’t worked out in so long I can’t remember. Boy I sure have honored God in my body haven’t I? Nope. All I’ve managed to do for the past year is concede one win after another to the enemy.

Check out the memory Facebook sent me this morning from a year ago…
As you can tell, I lost sight of my path.

I am so thankful God allows U-Turns!!!!

Stay tuned and never, ever forget that Jesus loves you and you are BEAUTIFUL!!!
